"I have come to know that our families are a canvas on which we paint our greatest hopes, imperfect and sloppy, for we are all amateurs at life. But if we do not focus too much on our mistakes, a miraculous picture emerges, and we learn that it's not the beauty of the image that warrants our gratitude - it's the chance to paint."

Richard Paul Evans from "Finding Noel"

This Christmas I found time to listen to a book on tape.  CD of course, who has a tape player these days?
Speaking of time, I didn't really "find time" I mostly "took time" from some other worthy cause.  I stole away with my two girls still living at home, put them in a van with a CD player and started driving.  Hum....  The things we have to do to get some personal time these days!!

What have you done to connect with someone?  Have you let the dishes languish or the laundry mold? Will it hurt so much to do that?  The days are fleeting and the pulls are never-ending.  I hope I painted a picture that will last a life-time - a picture of love on the canvas of time.
